Once your tank is properly connected, both plumbed and electrically, you can begin loading your 100% Epsom Salt (Magnesium Sulphate). Ensure that the pump does not run without water going through it.
First, place a material over the threshold of your tanks tub. A rug, blanket, or something to protect the gel-coat of the tank will prevent any scuffing to the finish. Then, you can place each bag of salt on the material on the tub, and cut the bag open on the section which is hanging over the inside of the tank. You can gently knock the pieces of salt loose into the tank. Repeat until 100% of the correct amount of salt is loaded. You will need approximately 1000 pounds for the Evolution Pod, Standard Suite, and Orb, and around 1400-1500 pounds for the Deluxe Suite.
Next, load clean water into the tank on top of the salt. Fill all the way to the indicator groove on the small finger of the skimmer (About 10 inches). Once the water is at the correct level, you may then turn on the filtration unit to steadily heat the water and mix the solution.
Take a hydrometer reading to make sure you have the correct amount of salt.
You will maintain a salinity level of 1.26 - 1285 on your hydrometer. This is called specific gravity.
